Debug build type not working after Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics integrated

While I'm adding the Firebase for my Android application, I noticed that layouts have been changed or reverted back to old-style and some of the features of the app are not working as per requirements for the debug mode build type, but it works fine for release mode build type. I've tried to resolve it by upgrading the Gradle version, Firebase version, etc. But no luck. I'm using Android Studio 4.2, Gradle v6.8.2 Gradle Plugin v4.2.1, I've created 2 apps in the Firebase console and downloaded 2 .json files, and added them to resp. folders i.e debug and release in the src folder of the project.

Kindly help me to fix this issue. Thanks in advance.
