Hi,

I have enabled the BigQuery integration in Firebase Console and I have some issues about this :

  1. 1. How long will Firebase Analytics Data be exported to BigQuery ? I had the integration from Firebase to BigQuery, somehow Firebase Analytics Data export was disabled by somebody. I just enabled it yesterday around 17:00, and there is no data updated in BigQuery so far.

  2. 2. Why Firebase Analytics Data will be updated even thought the data is moved from intraday data set to event data set ? I find the data will be updated in around 2 days.

Hello there,

This is Sumit from the Firebase team. I have a couple of answers to your questions inlined below:
  1. 1. How long will Firebase Analytics Data be exported to BigQuery ? I had the integration from Firebase to BigQuery, somehow Firebase Analytics Data export was disabled by somebody. I just enabled it yesterday around 17:00, and there is no data updated in BigQuery so far.

After just enabling BigQuery export for your Analytics data, or relinking an Analytics account and then enabling BigQuery export, there is an expected delay before you will start seeing data reported into the daily tables. This is due to multiple reasons like data collection running longer for a newly linked export and the need to wait until all data is collected before exported into the daily table, or if there haven't been enough events reported yet (around < 100 events).

Until then you can use the intraday data sets which should have some data reported to them more quickly. Also since your original post here was from a few days ago, it's possible that the daily tables have already been populated by this point.

  1. 2. Why Firebase Analytics Data will be updated even thought the data is moved from intraday data set to event data set ? I find the data will be updated in around 2 days.

For some of the same reasons as above, particularly data arriving late, can cause delays to the daily table being created. This can also happen if there are too many events being reported, and the BigQuery export process gets delayed. The best practice is to use the intraday tables if you need quicker access to analytics data collected and exported to BigQuery.

Hope that helps,
-Sumit
