Connecting Power BI with Firebase Analytics

Hi,

I am new to Firebase. I have a requirement to connect Firebase with Power BI and do all the visualization similar to what we have in Analytics section of Firebase. I am able to link Firebase with Big query and then using Big query connector in PowerBI. what i noticed is analytics table in Big query is storing from the day and time when i linked it. But in the Analytics section in Firebase , i can see last 28 days compared to 1 day of data in Power BI. Is there any repository within Firebase that i can connect so that i can see same data in Power BI i..e last 28 days and not from the day I linked Firebase to Big Query. Any Insights will be helpful.

Hello Amit,

Linking to BigQuery isn't retroactive, sorry. You'll only be able to accumulate data moving forward. 

Analytics reports shown in the Firebase dashboard are only aggregate; the original raw data wasn't actually stored anywhere until you linked to BQ. So there's no way to reconstitute the data.

Thanks Kato for your response. One more question - Can we do live streaming of data of FireBase Analytics through Big Query to Power BI or any other BI tool?

I'm not really sure Amit. Sorry, I'm not familiar with Power BI or the nuances of streaming from BQ. Seems like it might be costly though.

If you're just looking for some live feeds of data, you might check out the stream view in Firebase console. Although obviously that's really only accessible by your admins and pretty limited in scope.
