Hi all, I am making an application in java desktop listening Firebase data base. The problem is that not achievement to communicate. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. Best regards.

Hey Jean,

We currently don't have an SDK that is intended for Java desktop apps. We do have a Java server SDK, but it requires a service account which is not secure to include in a desktop app. Your options are to either use the Realtime Database's REST API or communicating with Firebase via your own custom server using the Java server SDK.

We are not actively working on building an SDK for Java desktop apps. However, if others out there would like to see this, please chime in here.

Cheers,
Jacob

I'm in the same boat as Jean and would also like so see an SDK for Java desktop apps. Is there currently a time frame for this feature?

We do not share timelines for future features. All we can let you know is if we are working on it or not. And we are not actively working on building an SDK for Java desktop apps. Thank you for your request though and we will use it to prioritize work in the future.

Cheers,
Jacob

Same boat here, need to upgrade my app but cannot due to JVM Client authentication restriction.

+1 member in the boat. I wish I could integrate Firebase for Java SE application in my side project.
