Firepad.io

Hi! I was planning to use firepad for research purpose. I embedded the pad on a webpage and it has been working for a while but when I checked it today, it was not. Also, firepad.io page went down. Is firepad being discontinued? and are there any alternative open source text editing tools?

Firepad was archived on October 4th of last year and is no longer supported.

Although the github was archived at October, I could use firepad until the end of December. Is the webpage not coming back at all?
