Hey all!

I am freaking out! I have an app on the App Store that uses Firebase Storage to load images at launch.  The app is: https://itunes.apple.com/ph/app/gws-good-word-society/id1144132720?mt=8  The app doesn't launch anymore because it's not able to download images from Firebase Storage.  I went to my console to check it out and I don't see my directories or files (see attachment).  Anybody experiencing a similar issue? What should I do?! My app is not usable :(

Best,
Anas

There is no issue as far as we know.  Have you checked your usage?  You might be hitting quota enforcement if you are under free tier and many people have accessed your bucket.
Switching to blaze plan would fix that issue very quickly.

I see successful requests under your project (from the bucket name in your screenshots) in our backend logs.  I'm looking further to see if I can spot any other issues.

Confirmed quota issue -- some of your requests ARE getting error 402 (OVER QUOTA)  please upgrade to blaze plan as this may be affecting some of your users.

Hi Benjamin!

Thanks so much for being so helpful!

I actually was on the Spark plan but I just upgraded to the Flame plan.  How can I know what item my users are over-using? Is it GB downloaded or Download & Upload requests?

Best,
Anas

Hi Benjamin!

Yes, indeed, it started working 30 mins ago.  I upgraded to Flame and it started working as normal a few minutes after I paid.  One thing though, I don't think I haven't exceeded the quota, Usage says I have only had 4K download requests in the last month.  I am fine with staying on the Flame, but I just want to make sure that this won't happen again to me.

Look forward to hearing from you!
Anas

Usage limits for Spark are 30Gb a month enforced daily -- so if you exceed 1Gb transfer in either direction, you will start to see quota errors.

Oh that's such a great piece of information! Then that's probably my problem.  I just upgraded to the pay as you go plan to avoid outage again.  How can I display my exact usage details?

You can check your usage in the Usage Tab of the Storage section of your Firebase Console: https://firebase.corp.google.com/project/<your-project-id-here>/storage/usage

Thanks,
