Run app with test lab using cellular connectivity

When I use Firebase Test lab, do the devices have internet connection? What kind of connection do they have? Can I run the app on phones with 5G SIM cards?

I need to be able to check whether my code for identifying the cellular connectivity type (for example 3G, 4G, 5G) works or not on different phones and it would be good to be able to do it without having to use my own devices.

Hello 65536,

They have a connection. Wouldn't be very useful for testing Firebase (a cloud-based platform) if not. The list of supported devices is obtained by running a command like the following, as explained in available testing devices:

gcloud firebase test ios models list

I have found that you can choose the connection calling

gcloud beta firebase test android run --network-profile=LTE
