I'm considering using firebase authentication, but am worried about vendor lock-in.
All I would get on my own server would be the user firebase-uid, which when moving away from firebase authentication is useless without a mapping to the original email, facebook-uid, google-uid etc.
It would be great if there would be a server-to-server REST API to access the user login data, e.g. email, providers, facebook-uid, etc.
While retrieving this data from the client is possible and could be forwarded to my own servers, this is not safe, as the client can be manipulated.

Such an API seems to exists in some form, as this this page gets its' data from somewhere:
https://console.firebase.google.com/project/<project-id>/authentication/users

Does anyone have experience with this or knows if there is anything planned ?

Hi Susan. I work on Firebase Authentication.

This is a very reasonable request, we certainly don't want anyone to feel vendor lock in.

We currently do not have an official API for exporting your users data. If you need to do so, please reach out to our support team and we can help you do it.

We are considering exposing this functionality through an official API in the future, but can't provide a timeline for it at this point.

Apologies, Su-Au, my phone autocorrected your name to Susan.
