Hello.
I dont get the pricing of firebase.
Here an example:
In Firebase Free we get : 100 Simultaneous connections
In Firebase $25 per month we get : Unlimited Simultaneous Connections
BUT at the bottom of the page it says:
There is an initial limit of 10,000 simultaneous database connections. See Pricing FAQ for more information.

So if i bye the 25$ Package what do i get now?
Unlimited Connections or Max. 10.000 Connections?

Also if you buy the Pay as you go Plan you must pay 5$ for 1GB Realtime Database Storage.
Dont you think thats a little bit expensive?
I mean if you have 10.000 Users for example and they are active and do much like chatting and so on the 1 GB will be full very fast?

Also 1$ for 1GB Download is much? Or am i totally wrong? I mean if you have HD images with 2 or more mbyte each. And much users and profiles.
The 1 GB will be full in a day?

Please help me! :)

Hi Lukas,

Keep in mind that the Realtime Database is realtime. It's a JSON data store. If you want this to be fast, obviously you want to keep payloads small and easy to transfer over the internet. Storing 1GB of non-ephemeral JSON data, that is updated frequently, should require some significant usage, at which point $5 should be a decent tradeoff.

If you're looking to store images or other arbitrary static blobs (i.e. not realtime, frequently updated data) then Firebase Storage or another solution will be more economical.

Concurrents are initially limited to prevent runaway usage and abuse. You can request an increase in that cap, as indicated in the pricing FAQ. Keep in mind that 10k concurrents is not 10k users. That's 10k users online simultaneously, which generally requires you to have millions of monthly active users to achieve. So the initial cap is usually hard to reach.
