Hi,

Is there a limit on number of projects that can be added under Firebase?

We have a whitelabel website product, that gets hosted for each tenant under Firebase hosting. The single project allows only upto 36 sites to be hosted. We have hit that limit, anticipate number of sites to increase to more than 100.

Thanks,
Jainendra.

Hi Jainendra,

Firebase projects are Google Cloud projects and GCP has project limits:

Hi Jainendra,

Sam's right about the project limits. I'm interested in learning more about your use case though and the whitelabel product.

Best,
Ke

What is the maximum number of topics that you can create for small projects? My business expects 3 million topics. The device group was originally considered, but the Java Admin SDK no longer supports device groups. If you have a better solution, please tell me. Thank you!

Hi Chris,

There is no limit on the number of topics that a project can create. Device groups have been deprecated which is why the Admin SDK no longer supports it. Topics can be used in place of device groups, keeping in mind that topics can be subscribed to by any client so don't use it for sending secrets.
