Firebase reached the peak connection limit.

I'm receiving this error in the console "FIREBASE WARNING: Specified Firebase has reached its Peak Connections limit.  If you are the Firebase owner, consider upgrading. (https://citrusorange.firebaseio.com) " on the free plan which is limited to 50 connections, however I only have 2 or at it's peak 3-4 users simultaneously and I'm really beginning to question my current understanding of "connections". Could anyone shed light on this matter and is it possible to flush the connections to get it working again?

This sounds like atypical behavior. Could you please email sup...@firebase.com with version/SDK/OS info and details about your use case? This sounds more like a troubleshooting issue specific to your use case than a community discussion.
