Hey,

When using firebase deploy, the process gets stuck at 99%. Anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

Hey Leopold,

This was caused by a bug in our CLI. However, it has been fixed in the recently-released version 1.2.0 of our CLI (as noted in this change log). Update to the latest version of the CLI using this command:

npm update -g firebase-tools

That should solve your problem!

I'm trying to deploy my site and it is hanging at 98% deployed. Any other reports of this issue recurring or ideas on how to test/fix this on my side?

Hey Trish,

If you are still having issues, please reach out to sup...@firebase.com with some more details like what Firebase app you are deploying to, what OS you are using, how big of a deploy you are doing, how many times things fail in a row, how long you have waited while stuck at 98%, etc. We will report back here if there is anything useful for all users.

Cheers,
Jacob

After a few failed attempts last night, it worked this morning so hopefully just a temporary issue.

We just deployed a fix to the upload servers that hopefully fix any issues with intermittent hanging deploys. Please let us know if you continue to see issues.

Apologies for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience

Chris

Hey there,

Firebase Hosting appears to be healthy and deploys are coming through successfully.

For those who are having this issue now - and those who run into it in the future - please reach out to firebase...@google.com and we will help you out personally. Please include the following info in your email:
  • What version of the Firebase CLI are you using?
  • How big is the total package size you are trying to deploy?
  • Have you tried cancelling the hung deploy and re-deploying?
  • What Firebase app are you trying to deploy to?
Thanks,
Jacob
