Firebase invalid E-Mail even if it is correct // React Native - Android

Hi, 

lately we encounter the problem, that users can not register due to an email -invalid error.

Even though the email is correct - firebase sends the error code "invalid Email".

It only occurs on some devices - we have like a 3% error Quote when users want to register.

It definetly is not a user failure. Does anyone have those problems too?

We do get a lot of bad ratings in google play store - because users can not register 

Any help is appreciated.

Sorry to hear you are running into these issues. Do you have an example of the emails that are being marked as invalid? Feel free to share them with me privately (ja...@firebase.com) if you would like some privacy. I can report back here when we've tracked down a resolution for your issue.

i just send you some informations per Mail including some of the mails, that we know, got rejected.

After talking with Patrick in a private conversation, we were able to determine the issue was caused by accidentally appending some whitespace characters to the email addresses before sending them to the Firebase Auth backend. It's always a good idea to clean up your inputs (trim whitespace, lowercase, etc.) before sending off that data to Firebase.
