Gender Inclusive Language Generation | LT-EDI @ ACL 2026 We are excited to announce the Gender-Inclusive Language Generation shared task in five languages (English, German, Spanish, Tamil, Kannada), now live on Codabench, as part of the LT-EDI (Language Technology for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion) Workshop at ACL 2026, San Diego, California, United States. Shared Task Objective: Participants are invited to develop systems that generate gender-inclusive text while preserving meaning and fluency. This task addresses an important gap in current NLP systems, which often reflect and amplify gender bias present in training data. Starter Kit Available for Beginners: We provide a clean, beginner-friendly starter kit for participants, including sample code and submission format to help you get started quickly. 🔗 Competition Link https://www.codabench.org/competitions/11336/ 📅 Important Dates 📢 Task announcement: Nov 16, 2025 📂 Training data release: Nov 25, 2025 🧪 Test data release: Jan 20, 2026 📤 Run submission deadline: Feb 10, 2026 🏆 Results declared: Feb 16, 2026 📝 Paper submission: March 5, 2026 📬 Peer review notification: April 28, 2026 📄 Camera-ready due: May 12, 2026 🛠 Workshop (ACL 2026): July 2–3, 2026
