The University of Brest (UBO) invites applications from excellent post-doctoral researchers for a 24-month fellowship in AI for Science, funded by the BIENVENÜE+ programme (Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND, Région Bretagne). The full project description is attached.
The position is designed to support responsible, secure, and trustworthy uses of AI for scientific knowledge production, evaluation, and dissemination, in strong alignment with Brittany’s Smart Specialisation Strategy (RIS3), notably SIA 3.7: Secure and Responsible Digital Economy - Data and intelligence, with contributions to ecological and social transitions.
BIENVENÜE+ offers a high-quality alternative to standard MSCA Post-Doctoral Fellowships:
Selection rate around 30%, compared to ~12% for MSCA-PF at the European level
Same MSCA excellence standards, with reinforced regional support
Competitive salary, research budget, training, and career development framework
Strong proposal support and integration into Brittany’s research and innovation ecosystem
Eligibility & Application
Applicants must hold a PhD, comply with the MSCA mobility rule, and propose a project aligned with RIS3 priorities.
Applications follow the BIENVENÜE+ guidelines and template and must be submitted via the Extranet Recherche platform by 16 February 2026 (23:59 CET), but a candidate should contact ASAP Liana Ermakova (liana.e...@univ-brest.fr) and Florian Boudin (florian...@inria.fr), who will supervise the research if the project is funded.
