Hierondervind je een lijst van naaimachines die ik kan aanraden. Op alle machines in de lijst heb ik persoonlijk gewerkt of een keer op naailes meegemaakt. Voor de actuele prijzen kun je op de links klikken, of bij een van de grotere online naaimachinewebshops kijken voor leuke aanbiedingen.

Er zijn ontzettend veel machines te krijgen, ieder met meer of minder steken, meer of minder opties, met of zonder digitaal display, verlengtafel, kap etc. Het is dus belangrijk om te weten wat je met de naaimachine gaat doen. Hieronder geef ik wat algemene tips om mee te nemen in je naaimachinekeuze:

Een instapmodelletjes dat niet te duur is maar wel alle basics in orde heeft! De machine beschikt over alle meest gebruikte steken, zoals de rechte steek, stretch steek, verschillende zigzagsteken en blindzoomsteken. Daarnaast is het een smal machinetje dus ideaal voor een kleine ruimte. Verwacht niet te veel van dit kleine machinetje, maar om uit te proberen deugt hij zeker!

Deze Brother CS70s is computergestuurd met een heleboel verschillende steken, een unicum voor deze prijsklasse. De steeklengte en -breedte zijn tot de millimeter in te stellen en je kunt de naald automatisch in of uit de stof programmeren. Dit zorgt ervoor dat je sneller naait en de machine minder snel blokkeert. Wel voelt de machine wat minder robuust aan dan de machines uit het middensegment. Onder de streep is de CS70s een prima machine voor wie graag veel steekopties wil zonder het prijskaartje.

Een prima modelletje van het merk Janome, en regelmatig een keer in de aanbieding. Dit is een van mijn 2 lesmachines (de andere is de Husqvarna E10) en ik vind het gewoon een fijn machinetje die je makkelijk onder de knie krijgt. Hij is zeer compleet met 1-staps knoopsgatfunctie en knoopaannaaifunctie. Je kunt hem uitproberen bij o.a. Los Naaimachines.

Bernette is Zwitsers ontwerp, dus een robuuste metalen kast met veel opties. De 50 steken zijn tot de millimeter in te stellen, waaronder ook borduursteken. Met de aanhechtknop hecht je moeiteloos aan en af, met de start-stop knop naai je even snel zonder voetpedaal, en ook de naaldpositie kun je nauwkeurig instellen. Uiteraard kun je ook de snelheid instellen! Een hele fijne, robuuste machine voor uren naaiplezier.

De Husqvarna Opal 650 is zeer compleet en een echt werkpaard met 160 steken die je allemaal kunt aanpassen in lengte en breedte. Met 1-staps knoopsgatvoet, borduursteken, en automatische draadspanning- en steeksuggesties voor verschillende soorten stof. Het werkblad is ook lekker groot, waardoor ook grote truien, broeken, quilts of gordijnen er prima onder passen zonder geprop. De Opal 650 wordt geleverd met een harde kap, iets wat ik helaas vaak mis aan moderne naaimachines. Tip: spendeer die extra tientjes voor de Husqvarna Opal voetjesset en dan ben je gewoon klaar voor altijd!

Ik heb geen nederlandse gebruiksaanwijzing en problemen met het inbrengen van de spoel. Hoewel ik engels en duits spreek is het ingewikkeld.

De spoel kiepelt eruit en de bovendraad pakt niet. Wat te doen.

Geachte lezer.

Ik heb een SilverCrest naaimachine SNM 33B2 ian 300024 gekocht in Portugal, mijn woonland.Nu kan ik goed uit de voeten in het Engels maar sommige technische instructies geven wat problemen.Ik zocht op internet de handleiding maar die kan ik niet vinden, wetende dat zuid Europa vaak andere typemeldingen hebben dan noord Europa (leve de EU) denk ik dat de B1 hetzelfde is als de b2.Is dit zo zo ja kan ik de instructies uit het internet halen .Zo nee kunt u mij een handleiding toesturen?

Bovendien vraag ik mij af of ik met de B2 ook een tweelingnaald kan gebruiken mijns inziens zijn al de benodigde attributen aanwezig.Graag uw antwoord.

Silvercrest SNM 33 B1: het lukt niet om de boven- en onderdraadspanning aan elkaar gelijk te krijgen. Is de bovendraadspanning goed; is de onderdaadspanning te los en omgekeerd. Heb het klosje voor de onderdraadspanning al handmatig aangespannen, maar dat werkt ook niet. Iemand tips? Alvast bedankt.Gesteld op 10-5-2018 om 15:06

The machine in question is the model SNM 33 and was 59.99 from Lidl. I had seen this one before, at Christmas, and thought it looked a good deal then too, so was very pleased to see it back in stock.

There are so many nice touches that make the machine a pleasure to use. A built in light and a nice easy way of threading it up really come in handy. The bobbin is a side-loaded shuttle sort. Choosing a stitch is nice and easy and intuitive too. Very impressive.

There is even a plastic cover included (though I will be making a pretty fabric one for mine very soon!). Also included are three reels of thread (in pretty colours!), spare bobbins, a seam ripper, screwdrivers and tools, oil, a quilting guide and spare needles.

I just wanted to add that I am still using my SilverCrest sewing machine, and it has proven to be a reliable little beast. I have made many projects with it and am still very happy that I chose this model.

I hope that you can help me, I would like to do some of the embroidery settings on my machine but I do not seem to have the foot to go with it, can you tell me if there is some where in the uk where I can get one from?

I am trying to make some Happy Birthday bunting at the moment. I would like to applique the lettering on but am having a problem using the darning plate. I am unable to move the fabric around freely as the presser foot is far too tight. I have tried turning the screw anti-clockwise on the top of the machine in order to release the pressure but this has had no effect at all. I would be grateful for any help.

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. I have just started using the machine to hem a dress, all was going well except midway the machine wont sew, just keeps making a dull sound and nothing else. My very first day of using the machine brand new from box. Please help

Can anyone help. I also have a silvercrest 8750 sewing machine. I love it, never had any problems, would rate rate to experienced machinist to a first timer. Im gutted moved house packed everything up. No sign of my foot pedal, could have been handed to a charity shop , I have no hand book to contact for a replacement. Tried e- bay all willing to sell me something on a different brand that may just fit ,more than my sewing machine cost. I have no manuel or address to contact for a replacement,

Can you help me with my problem? I have the embroidery plate and instruction manual. I follow the instructions for embroidery, it starts off okay but then the top thread stops catching the bottom thread and no stitch is made, I try to keep a constant speed of movement and have tried going both faster and slower but it makes no difference. Otherwise I love my little machine and have spent hours sewing with it.

Hi Deborah. O hope this gets to you have just bought this machine recently. I wonder do you know if you need a special foot for the overlocking feature. I have seen generic snap on ones on line but there is not one supplied with the machine. Thanks

Hi I have the same machine. I was struggling to use these stitches too but after fiddling around with the stitch width and stitch length dial, and making sure I had selected S1 or S2 on the pattern selector dial, I managed to do these stitches perfectly. Easy once you practice a little. Such a good machine at such a fabulous price!!! Good luck! X

i bought the machine newly but it came with a foreign language i could not understand. pls can u send me a comprehensive hand book on it in English. been havung problems with it. and how do i set it for various usage, like straight sewing, zigzag , interlocking and co. all this 33 stitches i do not know which is which. pls help. Thks

The foot pedal and power cable are combined for one socket on the SNM33. I have seen similar arrangements for other brands, so there may be a standard that allows different brands to be interchangable. Perhaps contact SilveCrest, as they would know for sure. (You can return things from Amazon if you order one to try)

I wonder if anyone has had the same problems as me with selecting the S1 and s2 stitches on this machine. I cannot turn the dial to those settings. It stops turning at the number 4, though i can see S2 would be the next setting up if the dial would JUST TURN a bit more to the right!! Any tips?
