Over its lifecycle, The Sims 4 has grown incredibly. Some worlds are small, while others are much larger. Regardless of size, each one includes its own aesthetic and focus. As new game packs and expansions have been released, the number of worlds has increased, and many players are grateful for the fact that most can be traveled to easily by using the map.
Yes I've checked my purchase history and its not there. I purchases Roaring Heights on EA play. I used the code they gave me in my email receipt on the sims 3.com and it comes up as already used but the world is no where to be seen on my account.
@abc1526341047 Hello! Unfortunately, sims (households) and lots are saved separately. Probably the easiest thing for you to do is save the lot to your library (either in build mode or the build option from "manage worlds"), then from "manage worlds", place it in the world where you want the sim (household) to move. Then go back to live mode and have your sim move there.
@JonaO703is right that you can't move them together, however, if you take the lot into build mode and save it to your library, it will contain EVERYTHING currently on the lot. Even down to food in the fridge and your sim's custom paintings on the walls.
@Psychotps I've noticed in my game that food in the fridge is not saved when I save a lot. However, if there is food in the fridge when my sims move, the food and household inventory moves with them. Any food on counters or tables gets left behind and those also get saved when I save the lot to my library. Too many times I've found a nice birthday cake on the counter when I placed a favorite lot. lol
@TheBl4ckSh33p Hi! Unfortunately, when existing furniture is sold, items are depreciated by 20%. For example, if I buy a new Crisponix Budget fridge, the cost is $375 but if I sell the existing one I only get $300 for it. That depreciation will be true for every item on the lot (including the landscaping plants). Also, the cost of the new lot may be a factor. The value of my sim's current house and lot is $14,982 but when placed on a different (also larger) lot the value is $17,317. The only way I know to avoid losing some of those simoleons would be to have your sim keep furniture when moving and buy the lot unfurnished. Although, then you will have to place all of the furniture on the new lot. At $17K, I'm guessing you have a fair amount of stuff on your lot, so placing it all again might be annoying. :-/
2nd edit: Actually, if you don't mind using cheats, I completely forgot about the free real estate cheat. If you enter that at the manage worlds view, while your sims are moving, you will keep all your simoleons.
@TheBl4ckSh33p Sure thing! Perhaps it will be fun to shake things up a bit and maybe you'll find a better layout for your stuff. :-) Although I find that when I get ideas about changing stuff, my houses tend to practically double in size. lol So be careful! ;-)
For some reason when I launch The Sims 3 and go to Open Downloads Dashboard, the worlds Monte Vista and Hidden Springs do not appear. The Sims 3 Worlds Bundle was purchased on 07/17/2021, but the worlds are not appearing in my downloads. How do I fix this to work properly for EA PC Desktop? Will there be a fix for this in an EA PC Desktop update soon?
As for the EA App, I'm not sure this is even an issue with the app itself since the Downloads Dashboard is an in-game function that doesn't need to go through the app or Origin. (It works fine in disc and Steam installs when Origin isn't present.) But while the EA App is in beta and still adding functions, it's not clear that older games will ever be fully supported.
*In order to move into one of those worlds, you will need a venue mod, such as Venue Changes, to be able to set lot types to Residential. Moving into Batuu is not possible because of how the world works differently from other worlds.
Living in the perfect neighborhood is a must in The Sims 4. Players wonder which world would fit their build style the most or which world comes with the coolest additions. The many expansion and game packs have added additions such as apartments, story-driven goals, and city sections. Each world also takes on a unique look.
Each world takes inspiration from a real-world area. Depending on how players want to play, they are sure to find a neighborhood that fits their needs in The Sims 4. There is even one the player can create themselves.
Updated on December 6, 2023, by Elara Leclair: With each expansion pack and many game packs in The Sims 4, the available options for worlds continue to increase, providing players with a diverse range of environments to settle their Sims in. The latest expansion pack, "For Rent," not only expands the number of worlds but also introduces the ability for players to create rentals and apartments in any world, not just specific ones like San Myshuno or Evergreen Harbor. This feature enhances the utility of each world, allowing players to choose a location based on its unique charm or features rather than being constrained by lot size requirements. With the addition of Tomarang in this expansion pack, the total number of available worlds now reaches 25. This extensive selection ensures that every Sim can find a place they can call home, offering a variety of environments ranging from lush and green outskirts to the bustling life of a city, and experiencing new cultures. Each world provides different and unique activities, adding to the overall richness of the gameplay experience.
Included in one of the most unpopular and controversial DLCs ever released for the game, Batuu easily takes the last and worst spot on this list. In fact, calling Batuu an actual world would be a lie and an overstatement because players can't actually live or build here.
With only three areas to visit and the rest being rabbit holes, Batuu comes across as more of an advertisement for a franchise baked into the game than a cool, original world for Sims to live in. It's a shame, given how nice the building objects in Batuu are and what could have been done with them.
Magnolia Promenade was added to the Get To Work expansion pack. The area is small, only allowing four lots to be added. Magnolia Promenade is meant for businesses, so a home or apartment would look out of place in this area.
Three lots are already occupied, meaning players only have one lot to create their own business. While not appearing as a customizable lot, the police station and hospital are also located in this neighborhood. It's a nice world to plop down any restaurants, spas, and other community lots as well, but its size is a bit of a joke.
Granite Falls is a vacation neighborhood, meaning it will see limited usage only. Sims are able to vacation in this neighborhood for 7 days but must leave when that time is up. Necessary camping materials can be bought at the ranger stations, meaning Sims do not have to be prepared.
Forgotten Hollow is a neighborhood perfect for any vampire. Only the Straud and Vatore families live here at first, meaning players can move in three more vampire families. Uniquely, the neighborhood will also be darker for longer.
The sun rises later than normal and sets quicker in this neighborhood. This neighborhood is also home to two unique plants, the Plasmafruit and the Sixam Mosquito Trap. Living here, vampire Sims will not have to worry about burning up. However, that also means the world is a bit more niche compared to other ones, and regular Sims won't really fit in here.
Moonwood Mill is a small world in The Sims 4, consisting of only five lots. However, the world building is very detailed and coherent, designed by a well-known Sims Youtuber James Turner. Many lots in this world is a great option for challenges like rags to riches, homeless or an apocalypse challenge.
The world is primarily designed for Werewolves, with hidden areas, unique features, and secrets to explore. Players can customize items in specific areas and learn about the lore of Moonwood Mill through the Moonwood Mill Relics collection. However, the world is not ideal for human or other occult Sims as there are not many activities for them. Overall, Moonwood Mill is a hit or miss world depending on player preferences. While small, it offers an immersive experience for Werewolf players and can be a good option for certain challenges.
Tartosa is the perfect destination for weddings and honeymoons, with its balmy Mediterranean climate and atmosphere inspired by the best of Italy and Spain. The town features a wedding flower vendor, a delightful cake shop, and a dress store where you can find the perfect look for Sims' special day.
This small world has a lot to offer with its beautiful location, its great beaches, and additional dynamic elements. Despite this, its focus on destination weddings makes it less than ideal for those looking for a place to call a permanent home. Luckily, it already comes with some rental lots that are perfect for any special occasion or holiday getaway.
StrangerVille isn't a bad world, but it's not a great world, either. It takes inspiration from the original The Sims 2's Strangetown, which was iconic and popular among fans. It had that quirky feel to it that many fans feel like the franchise has lost over the years, and sadly, StrangerVille doesn't manage to replicate that.
