Synopsis:  This is the Engine Company class you’ve been waiting for!  This is NOT a Firefighter I hose class, and it’s not a master streams drill!  This is an afternoon seminar followed by an intense two full days of hands on training focusing on safe but aggressive interior & offensive fire attack, with a focus on controlling fire behavior.  The skills & techniques presented were developed by the instructor, and subsequently adopted as standard training for the entire Seattle Fire Department.

The program has quickly gained national attention because it is designed for senior & experienced firefighters and officers.  This is the class that you will take home and change the way your engine takes care of business!

Recent Nozzle Forward classes have used over a half-million gallons of water, with students moving over 20,000 feet of hose in interior attack scenarios.  Want to see what this class is all about?  Go to www.NozzleForward.com, search “Nozzle Forward” on YouTube, or check out the instructor’s recent articles on www.FireServiceWarrior.com or in Issue 6 of www.UrbanFirefighter.com.

Lead Instructor:  The lead instructor is Aaron Fields, a firefighter for the City of Seattle.  Between his dad, brother, and himself, there is nearly always a Fields member on watch somewhere in the 5th Battalion.  Aaron rides backwards on Engine Company 33, and is usually found with a nozzle in his hands.  When not riding the engine or raising his kids he teaches at Engine Company skills at the Washington State Fire Academy.  Aaron will be making his back to the East Coast in response for numerous requests for this program to be repeated locally.  “Vado Canis Vado”… Go Dog Go!
