Attached are a few photos of "double decker" cribs. The most common is made by a company called Whitney Brothers (www.whitneybros.com). They seem to market it primarily for daycare centers, but a quick Google search revealed there are a few different manufacturers making 2, 4, and 6 cell units and they seem to be very popular with parents of twins or greater multiples as a space-saver. They are also for sale on Craigslist, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're in use locally. http://whitneybros.com/product.php?productid=144&cat=31&page=1#
Please take a look at the photos as they look like they could easily be confused for a book case or armoire, etc. during a primary search. The ends are tall and smooth, and some models even have smooth plexiglass front panels. There also seem to be a variety of different latching systems for the gates, from plastic clips to intricate metal locking systems.
And of course, don't forget to check every bed to make sure it isn't a bunk bed during primary search... follow the corner post up with your hand.
Please take the time to pass this on and be sure to bring it up at your next drill... Thanks & be safe!
