It is with deep regret that we forward the news that Dr. Henry Munroe has passed away. Those of you who have been around the New Hampshire fire service for a while will remember that Dr. Munroe was instrumental in the establishment of the New Hampshire Fire Standards and Training Commission, and later was one of the founding fathers of today's fire academy. Dr. Munroe was also one of the original five founders of the Fire Instructors & Officers Association of New Hampshire. His contributions to fire training in New Hampshire have, and will continue to, literally affect every firefighter in the state for generations to come.
