Greetings,

The Fire Instructors & Officers Association of New Hampshire is hosting two upcoming training opportunities, both of which have fewer than 15 available seats remaining.  If you, or anyone you know, is interested in attending these classes, you should register today!

The first program is a Fireground Leadership Seminar Featuring Capt. Mike Dugan, FDNY Ladder Co. 123 (Retired) on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, 0830-1630 hours. The location is Primex, 46 Donovan Street, Concord, NH and cost is $85.00 per student, which includes lunchThis full-day seminar will feature two topics fireground leadership topics:

Ventilation for Today’s Fire Buildings: Does your department have a ventilation-specific standard operating procedure to address controlling fire behavior? This session will include a discussion of the effects of ventilation practices and the problems presented by contemporary building construction. Strategies to coordinate ventilation will be presented that will assist in gaining control of building construction-related fire behavior to enable entry for search and fire attack.

Leadership to Avoid Fire Service Injuries and Deaths: This session is intended for all members of the fire service, as real leadership can be executed from any rank. The presentation will focus on learning from others’ past failures and decision making practices to avoid repeating critical fireground mistakes that have resulted in injuries and deaths.

The second program is the extremely popular Nozzle Forward, being offered in a special extended three-day format, which  includes the “Drilling for Function” instructor development seminar. The dates are Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday, May 11, 12, & 13, 2016, 0830-1730 hours daily.  The location is the New Hampshire Fire Academy, 98 Smokey Bear Boulevard, Concord, NH and the cost is $225.00 per student, which includes all lunches.

This is the Engine Company class you’ve been waiting for!  This is NOT a Firefighter I hose class, and it’s not a master streams drill!  This is a full-day engine company theory and instructor development seminar followed by an intense two full days of hands on training focusing on safe but aggressive interior & offensive fire attack, with a focus on controlling fire behavior.  Recent Nozzle Forward classes have used over a half-million gallons of water, with students moving over 20,000 feet of hose in interior attack scenarios.  The skills & techniques presented were developed by the lead instructor, and subsequently adopted as standard training for the entire Seattle Fire Department. The program has quickly gained national attention because it is designed for senior & experienced firefighters, officers, and instructors.  This is the class that you will take home and change the way your engine takes care of business!

This class will sell out in the next few days, so REGISTER ONLINE TODAY: http://www.roninregistration.com?_rtu=11111111175
