Rails-kurssi TTY:llä

Postaanpa tännekin mainoksen kurssistani. Oppilaitos on siis TTY.




Pidän 9.4.-25.4.2008 intensiivikurssin aiheesta "Ketterä web-kehitys".
Kurssin voi suorittaa joko osana Seittiohjelmointikurssia (OHJ-5100)
tai erillisenä kurssina.

* Osana Seittiohjelmointikurssia se korvaa J2EE-harjoitustyön ja antaa
kaksi ylimääräistä opintopistettä. Koko Seitti-kurssista saa silloin
siis 6 op.

* Erillisenä suorituksena kurssista saa 4 op.

Opetus tapahtuu joka arkipäivä 9-12 ja 13-16 luokassa TC217.

Kurssille otetaan 20 opiskelijaa. Jos ilmoittautuneita on enemmän,
otetaan mukaan ne, jotka pystyvät osallistumaan opetukseen
mahdollisimman tiiviisti. Esitietovaatimuksena kurssilla on olio-
ohjelmointi ja web-tekniikoiden (etenkin HTML:n) perusteiden
tuntemus.

Kurssilla toteutetaan oikea asiakasprojekti Ruby on Railsillä ketteriä
menetelmiä käyttäen. Luennot ja ohjaus lomittuvat harjoitustyön
tekoon. Kurssi luennoidaan osallistujien kielitaidon mukaan joko
suomeksi tai englanniksi.

Ilmoittautumisia kurssille otetaan vastaan pe 7.3.2008 asti

I am organizing an intensive course called "Agile Web Development"
from April 9 to April 25. The course can be performed either as a part
of the OHJ-5100 Web Programming course or as a standalone course.

* As a part of the Web Programming, the intensive course replaces the
J2EE assignment and awards two extra credit points. The complete Web
Programming course with the intensive agile period will thus be 6 cp.

* The standalone course credit will be 4 cp.

The group meets every Monday to Friday from April 9 to April 25 at
9-12 and 13-16 in classroom TC217.

Twenty students will be admitted to the course. The students who can
commit to attending as much as possible will have the precedence. The
prerequisites for attending are object-oriented programming skills and
basic knowledge of web technologies, especially HTML.

On the course, each student pair develops a working Ruby on Rails
application for a real client using agile methods. Lectures and
exercises will intertwine the actual project work. The course will be
lectured either in Finnish or in English depending on the language
skills of the attendees.
