Can somebody summarize how the dental service system works in Finland, i.e.
public vs. private, please?
I know that in principle I could go to the public facility that is located
close to my home. I was also told to be prepared for several months of
waiting. My questions are: what is covered and what I have to pay myself
e.g. for more complicated things like 'crowns', is it possible to choose
another facility e.g. closer to the work place?
Second option: private facilities. How are those in terms of waiting, cost
and what is covered by the insurance (I have Kela card).
I am told that high taxes are due to very good public services that we
receive and now I need to use them.
Thanks,
Mike
