I'm a Belgian woman from Liège, Belgium.
I have a good friend who lives in Helsinki
and I'd like to address her my best wishes for
the coming year 2001. I think it would be funny
and surprising to write these words in her own
language. So if there were some cute people
who could translate the following text in Finnish,
I would be very glad, and I thank them in advance !
Here is the text:
"Hello, Erika !
After one year of hard work, I take a few well deserved days-off
in Big Apple. I enjoy very much the incredible atmosphere
which reigns here right before Christmas.
Illuminations everywhere, streets overcrowded and permanent agitation.
A true hive in which the bees never stop to buzz.
The coming year promises to be rich in changes and evolutions,
on the career level for some, on the family life standpoint
(house, children) for others.
All this would fill 2001 with a crowd of thrilling activities,
and would allow us to enter into the third millenium plenty of energy !
The moment has come to formulate the traditional wishes
and to take good resolutions. For a few years now,
I have been able to appreciate your qualities and your friendship.
In spite of the passing time, it was never denied.
I wish you henceforth to walk along a pleasant way bordered of
friendship, of love, of multiple happinesses, joys and successes,
as well as to Kari, your travel companion on the road of the life.
Happy New Year 2001!
Big big kisses from NY,
Your friend,
Juliette. "
Please send your translation to mailto:jo...@bigfoot.com,
as I cannot check the newsgroups these days...
You are wonderful,
Juliette
