As we stand at the canyons precipice of life, where the loose
rocks challenge our footing, we look up towards the heavens seeking
the eyes of God, then down toward the bitterness in contemplation of
our eternal soul, each ask the same burning question; Will love save
us from the fall, or will hate push us over the edge? There will be
those that say God is wrath. I say to you that God is want, word, and
wisdom. There will be those that say God is pain. I say to you that
God is purpose, prosperity, and peace. There will be those that say
God is hate. I say to you that God is hope, happiness, and heart.
There will be those that say God is lies. I say to you this day that
God is longevity, life, and love.
So it is so many, so often, have suffered the indignities of
famine, misfortune, and the pestilence of war, that in girding our
loins with the spiritual armor of impenetrability have we become
oblivious to our very own hearts slowly turning to cold stone as we
deflect the arrows of life. Each of we hasten to harden our hearts
into the hard rock of life, knowing that if we do not protect our
heart, eventually an arrow will find it. For most this will mean
unjust death. Yet for others when the arrow strikes it will mean life
everlasting. So I ask of you; How can this be? Will not the sharp
point of the arrow bring us all to a sure end? I say to you that the
hardness of your heart may stop, or even break the arrow, yet the
hardness of your heart will break you.
If you can not feel, you can not be. If you can not be, you can
not find God. If you can not find God, you live but are dead. God
lives within the deep recesses of everyone’s heart, even those that
say he is not. Before each beat of your heart you will find God. At
the culminations last heart beat you will find God. He lives, he
breaths, he works, he loves from within your heart. It matters not
whether you are Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Muslim, or Hindu, each
have the same heart. Each of those hearts are connected to each
other, and the same God. We are all his children. It matters not the
color of your skin, or the curvature of your brow, he loves each of
you without exception or condition. He knows each of you by name.
You ask of me; How can this be? Because he is God!
