O-India Group starts with a bang

Dear Findians,

Thanks to Kiran (from Karnataka) and Atul (from Maharashtra), two
senior members of the Indian Community in Oulu, the O-India Group
representing in Indian Community of Oulu, which is growing very
rapidly, has started functioning with a bang.

The first meeting of a Core Committee was held in Michelle's Chinese
Rstuarant and a basic plan was set out. Less than a week later the
Core Group held a meeting at Atul's residence and hardened the plan.

The third meeting of the full Core Committee will be held at the Ville
Victor International House today.

A Google Group called "O-India" has been launched to enable
Discussions. Assignments have been given to individuals to prepare
information pages about life in Oulu. These pages will be reviewed by
the Group Owners, who besides Kiran and Atul, includes me. We will
finalise these pages and then upload them in a standard easy-to-refer
format as part of the O-India Group page.

We have a very competent Graphic Designer looking after the Web Page
Creation. Those assigned individual responsibilities are those who
have experience in the areas of assignments.

I am pleased to report excellent co-operation between all those who
have been contacted. I only hope the initial enthusiasm will not wear
away.

Our Findians Fortnightly webletter and many thousands of pages has
been online for over a decade. Annikki and I have built up a
readership of over 120000 peoiple world-wide. This includes people of
all nationalities who have an interest in India and / or Finland. But
the NEW Findians group is still under preparation and only a limited
number of people have been asked to join. But it will be more widely
publicised when we have finished creating the web pages.

If you are interested to be part of this rapidly growing O-India
Group, please do contact me and I will organise that you are invited
to be part of what will be an exciting experience. Also if you want to
be an early adopter of the Findians Group please do contact me to put
you on our test list. (The two Groups will be complimentary and not in
competition or in conflict.)
