Bandshell Permit Extension -- need your help

we're happy to report that the bandshell has been a big success ...
we've experienced all the challenges we'd anticipated, and we've been
meeting them head-on. many people have been performing on stage, and
really enjoying it -- everything from spoken word to theatre, live
music to kids storytelling, a capella groups, you name it. our current
permit ends september 10th, and we've had many requests to extend it.
so, in order to allow more people to enjoy the bandshell during the
"real" san francisco summer months, we're asking the recreation and
parks commission to extend our permit to november 15th, 2007. they
will be reviewing our request at their meeting this thursday, august
16th at 2pm in city hall, room 416. and once again, we could use your
help in showing your support of the project, either by speaking in
favor of the project in person at that meeting, or by writing a note to
the rec and park commissioners at recpark.co...@sfgov.org
