Hi again everybody ...

We have a change of venue!!  We've moved Hollis's fundraiser to Slim's at 333 11th between Harrison and Folsom.  The date is still Thursday, March 12, doors at 7:30 show at 8:00, and we're loading in artwork during the day.

And, if you'd like to donate artwork, I've created a set of instructions and a simple form to fill out for the piece you're donating.  Go here:  http://tinyurl.com/c9yl4j

Also, please do send this around to any of your friends who might be interested in contributing ... we want to spread the word!!  Thank you!

Hi Everybody,

Our very good friend Hollis Hawthorne was recently in a horrible motorcycle accident in India, wherein she sustained a serious brain stem injury.  She remains in a coma, and has just been taken off a respirator.  Her friends and family are working hard to raise $150,000 to fly her in an air ambulance back to the US, where Stanford Medical Center (with one of the best programs in the country) has agreed to take her case pro-bono.  You can read more about Hollis, and this situation, at http://friendsofhollis.blogspot.com

We, her San Francisco friends, are holding a fundraiser for this cause next Thursday, March 12 at the Urban Art Farm, located at 1345 17th Street in Potrero Hill.  As part of that, I'm creating a gallery of artwork to be sold in a silent auction, with all proceeds going to Hollis's aid.  I'd prefer to have medium (24"x20") to small (8"x8") hanging pieces because those will sell more easily than larger, more expensive pieces.  I have *plenty* of room on the walls, as I intend to display hanging artwork salon style, and small sculptures can be accommodated as well.

If you're able to donate a piece, please reply to me as soon as possible!

If you're unable to donate a piece, please consider making a financial contribution through Hollis's blog, or come to the event next Thursday and enjoy the festivities.  I'll send out more information to this list as the day approaches.

Thank you all!

-Will
