reminder: bandshell hearing thursday

recreation and parks commission meeting
thursday, august 16, 2pm
city hall, room 416

we are on the agenda to get the permit for the bandshell extended from
sept 10 to november 15. if you can attend, please do ... we could use
your voice in support. given all the communications and outreach
efforts in which i've been engaged over the last few weeks, i feel that
the meeting will go well, and we will get our extension. we have the
support of PRO-SF, NOPNA, HANC, HAIA, mayor newsom, and supervisor
mirkarimi. however, i do know that there are (and always will be) a
small, vocal group of nay-sayers that will try and make it difficult
for us, serving their own ends. so we need your voice to tip the
balance in our favor.
