OPENING BELL
The Market opens at 9:00pm and and is expected to continue until 12:00am. Please do not arrive before the opening time. Some of the more popular trucks do get full, so we recommend arriving early.
SLIDING SCALE
While there is no registration fee and nothing is for sale per se, please bring donations for proprietors to help cover the cost of their establishments. If you are not in a position to contribute funds, be prepared to barter with objects, performances, favors or ingenuity.
SAFE AND SOUND
You are at your own risk and fully responsible for your own safety. Please be careful.
It is very important that you stay on the sidewalk, or in a truck. Please do not loiter in the street. It is dangerous, and may draw unwanted attention to our activities. If authorities present themselves, please treat them with respect. Do not smart mouth the cops or try to tell them the law.
PREPARATIONS AND FACILITIES
Dress for this special occasion as you find appropriate. While some trucks may serve food or drink, there are no concessions or neighborhood conveniences. Bring everything you need. Portable restroom facilities are available.
We must leave no trace of our activities. We are guests in this neighborhood. Please do not litter. If you don't clean up after yourself, one of the Night Market's hardworking proprietors will have to do it. Do not shit in public.
The Proprietors of the trucks have generally agreed to keep the volume down. Please do your part in helping us literally keep the party quiet.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
Please enter and leave the Night Market from the intersection of 24th and Illinois. If you are driving or taking a car service to or from the Night Market, please use this corner. We do not want cars driving through the Night Market itself for safety reasons.
Public transit options are the T and the K line, which will go pretty close to there, or the 22 and then a easy walk . Bicycles, tircycles and unicycles also work great.
Travel with a few friends. This is not the safest neighborhood.
