On behalf of BITS Pilani K K Birla Goa Campus, I would like to inform you about our annual national techno-management festival, Quark 2014 to be held from 7th to 9th February 2014.
Quark, the annual techno-managerial and innovation festival of the BITS Pilani K.K.Birla Goa Campus has grown manifold since its humble inception in 2006. Quark achieved a cult status on the national level with its 2008 iteration and made a quantum leap in 2010, when it went international for the first time. In order to foster the spirit of innovation, we have an eclectic mix of events, guest lectures, workshops and exhibitions. Previous editions of Quark have witnessed prominent guest lectures by renowned speakers from the domains of technology and management, a large number of professional workshops and a wide array of competitive events.
The 2013 edition of Quark witnessed participants battling it out in events spanning various technical fields such as Business Strategy, Robotics, Electronics, Mechanical and Programming. Influential leaders such as Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, notable industrialists such as K.M Birla and Babasaheb Kalyani, Noble laureates Sir Harry Kroto (Chemistry,1996) and Prof. Douglas Osheroff (Physics, 1996), innovators such as Mr Vic Hayes (the Father of Wi-Fi) have delivered guest lectures in previous editions of the festival. Besides an impressive event and guest lecture lineup this year, the 2014 edition will have a special night by Neil Harbisson, popularly known as ‘Cyborg’ who is expected to enthrall the audience with his talents.
We invite you to participate in the events under the ‘Corporate Panel at Quark ‘14.

With challenging events designed to test your business and analytical skills, Corporate events will surely bring out the potent tycoon within you. This time as the competition gets tougher, are you prepared to rouse your potential and hone your skills to win it all?
The event line up for ‘Corporate ’14 comprises of four events with unique formats and challenging problem statements.
Intellect is a Case-Study competition that tests the business analytical and managerial skills of the participants. It has associated with the likes of Harvard Business Review and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
QuEST (Quark Entrepreneurial Skills Test) is planned to test the participants marketing skills, business sense, quick thinking, decision-making, crisis management and teamwork. The event involves product development, B-Plan presentation and a trading round.
Wall Street Revolution is a virtual stock market based event. It tests the trading skills of the participants and their ability to predict stock price movements.
Bluechip Beatdown is an event that involves beating the markets with innovation and creativity by designing and marketing ingenious product with minimal resources.
Apart from the above lineup, Quark 2014 will host a Model G20 Summit, which endeavors to inspire the ability to think critically and solve problems, a major challenge that our world faces today.
