Hi Amol,

Sorry for the delays, just got back from a conference. I can come to the
event on 4/12. What would you like us to speak about, and for how long?
Will it be a panel, or what type of format? Can you send further details
about the event and location etc again? Thanks!

Cheers,
Christina

Spread the Warmth!
Embrace is a social enterprise that aims to help the millions of vulnerable
babies born every year in developing countries through a low cost infant
warmer. Unlike traditional incubators that cost up to $20,000, the Embrace
Infant Warmer costs less than 1% of this price. The device does not require
constant electricity, is portable and is safe and intuitive to use. You can
find out more at embraceglobal.org.

Who from embrace is this? As in what's her title?

> She's a business development manager. If you go to their website
http://embraceglobal.org/main/about and look at the second person on the
bottom right (Christina Chao), you can see more information about her.
Here is her bio from the website:

Christina has always been passionate about empowering women to make their
own choices and decide their own paths. She was drawn to Embrace by its
simple mission to help babies, mothers, and families have a better life
through such an innovative incubator design and technology. She hopes to
create social change through innovation. Currently, Christina works as a
marketing consultant for numerous startups in the Bay Area. She has
extensive marketing experience having worked with brands that include
Electronic Arts, Logitech, Warner Brothers Entertainment, and the Conde
Nast host of publications. She is an avid social media maven and loves how
technology is dynamic and ever changing. Christina holds a BA in
Communications from UC Berkeley.

She doesn't exactly fit with Sal, but do we still want her to speak? We
could have her talk about the business side of Embrace and its impact/what
they are doing to have a bigger impact.

Can you ask her for a number and a phone call so we can talk to her
about what we possibly would want from her? Schedule something for
after 330pm tomorrow.

It would be cool if she could speak about how they educate their customers in rural areas to use their product. As in even though they may have an awesome project, it wont work unless they properly educate their users.

Should I try and contact Mimi Silbert or are we good on speakers? She was
one of the backup speakers I had down but never contacted because we were
waiting to see if we needed her. But, apparently, my teacher for Political
Science 179, said she is the best speaker he has had in the 30 years of
teaching the class. She is the founder of Delancey Street. The Delancey
Street Foundation is a residential education center where drug addicts,
criminals and the homeless learn to lead productive, crime-free lives. It
has been called the most successful rehabilitation project in the United
States. The foundation runs at no cost to the taxpayer or client. They earn
revenue by operating more than 20 businesses, including the Delancey Street
Restaurant and Café and the Delancey Street Moving Company.

Also, how are we raising money through the symposium?

She sounds really cool, but I think we are doing okay with speakers right now. I think if you have any contact with her keep it cause we can definitely use it later on if not next year for the symposium!
