Hey Guys,

Below is a list of some legit rooms that we have not contacted (thanks to Kamini!). I am fairly busy for the next 6 hours and wont be able to call any of these places. I would really appreciate it if you guys can step up and maybe contact these people to see if we can get the room.

I'll try to keep checking my email, reply if you can do some room! PLEASE! :)

Alumni House

The Great Room of Bancroft Hotel is unavailable. They have someone in there from 7-10pm on April 12. I also tried to call the Alumni House, but I was 5 minutes too late.

Okay we have an open room!!

So I just got off the phone with the people at iHouse and their room is open that evening!!!
Here is a picture of the room http://ihouse.berkeley.edu/jpg/sproul.jpg. I've been in the room it's pretty nice and classy! It is not free but at this point I think we should book it. I got a quote and here is the breakdown of the costs.

A basic estimate for renting the Ida/Robert Sproul rooms next Tuesday evening would be:

$290 half day room rental
$160 lecture-style set-up
$30 mic'd podium
$20 a/v screen and cart

So this comes out to $500, which is cheaper than any other room all set up and everything. The only thing we would need to get is a projector which I'm sure we can do.

I have put the room on hold till tomorrow so we have to decide ASAP if we want the room. Hopefully we hear back from the optometry room by tomorrow as well. If we don't, then I say we book iHouse so we can start marketing right away!!

I say yes. Opinions?

Forgot to mention, it seats about 80-90 people. Which if we can fill it up will look good!
