Hello, That sounds good. I have class from 11am -3:30pm (Pacific Time) on Thursday and 12-1pm on Friday, but anytime other than that works. Thanks, Bernadette On Mon, 14 Mar 2011 14:18:28 -0700, Mark Johnson <ma...@playingforchange.com> wrote: HI Bernadette, I am traveling to Austin for SXSW and will be back on Thursday. I too would love to catch up and I should have a clearer idea of my schedule by the end of the week. Can we plan to speak Thursday afternoon or Friday morning? I can find time earlier in the week if you prefer. Hello, I just wanted to follow up and see if there is a time this week in which you are available to talk about our symposium. Please get back to me when you get a chance. We would really love to have you as our key note speaker. I wasn't feeling well this past week. Thursday's-Sunday's are when I am most available, but I am pretty much free weekdays after 4pm. Please let me know if there is a time that works well for you. I am contacting you from Project Rishi (Rural India Social & Health Improvement), which is a non-profit volunteer-run organization consisting of undergraduates, graduate students, professors, and doctors from UC Los Angeles, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and UC San Diego. Our aim is to provide sustainable solutions for the basic infrastructural, health care, and educational needs of rural Indian villages, beginning with Vadamanappakkam, a village located in Tamil Nadu. Our organization used its funds in 2005 to construct a clinic in the village.
Throughout the school year, we meet regularly and plan events to raise funds for our six different projects. On Wednesday, April 13, we are planning to hold a Social Good Symposium on campus for around 200 students. We have heard a lot about Playing for Change, and we would love to have you as a key note speaker if you are interested. We think that the way you have used music to bring people together would be an inspirational topic to share with fellow UC Berkeley students. Please let us know if you are at all interested or if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Bernadette Rabuy
