Similar to channel ORANGE (2012), the track has a couple of interludes that are references to older media, particularly from the 1990s and 2000s. The samples heard in these interludes match with the samples used in the "actual" tracks that follow them; an example is in the opening track, two snippets of Coldplay songs are played before the Coldplay cover "Strawberry Swing" comes after it.
In "Songs For Women," Frank acknowledges his talent at writing songs for women, all while poking fun at his haters and admitting that he's also suffered from heartbreak.[16] The song "Lovecrimes" continues on the topic of love, discussing the "crazy behavior and situations that love and lust can often lead to," not just by referring to them as "love crimes", but posing questions like "is it really wrong that I want to be the baby daddy?"[17]
