The Marx Brothers - Horse Feathers

The Marx Brothers go to a University. This is totally crazy. It is so
absurd and surrealistic that you either have to just let go of all
rationality and flow with it or turn it off. Very charming crazy farce
which makes you feel like you are on a cocaine trip!

"Horse Feathers" is going to be a little more difficult to rate/review than other Marx Brothers films because the first and second halves feel like two completely different movies.

The first half displays the usual reasons that I cannot really get into their stuff. Mainly being it takes too long for the introduction of their characters and Groucho alone tends to get boring and monotonous. They seem to work perfectly when they are together and feed off of each other to create some of their best comedy.

The second half felt like a blast and was very funny. The mayhem began building up and situations dealt out in cards for Harpo to cut with his ax. There is also a subtle showing with a life savers candy mint that is truly gut busting. It was alot of fun but hindered overall due to its first half. 6/10
