As a professional broadcaster I am very excited about the prospect of bring a wonderful story to the big screen.  Having spent the last 30 years in the communication business, I truly understand the value of each of us being great “storytellers”.  Adriana Trigiani is an extrordinary example of a talented storyteller.  Her books have proven successful as a testament to her creative abilities.  Her passion for having Big Stone Gap filmed exclusively in her home state of Virginia is critical to an authentic representation of her work.  I sincerely hope you will give your highest priority to seeing this project win the support it needs, in the hopes that many more projects will follow its lead and further add the the economic development of the State of Virginia.  This is not just a question of commerce, but one of being true to the portral of this great work.
