I have as a client a car rental agency. They are large enough that they do much of their own service so they have service programs and equipment from GM, Ford, Dodge, Nissan and Subaru. Possibly others.

My issue [if you haven't guessed by now] is that this site doesn't work for us.
We have tried:
- Windows 10 Pro, Windows 10 Home, Windows 7
- Edge, Chrome, Firefox, IE 11, IE on the latest Windows 10 versions which shows as Version 20H2 or 2004 rather than '11'.
- Compatibility View and ActiveX filtering on and off (the site detects compatibility view and demands you turn it off)
- Multiple computers. Domain joined and non-domain joined at their location. My desktop and laptop computers at my location. Brand new out-of-the box computer.
- selecting 'Canada French' or selecting 'United States' instead of the correct, 'Canada - English'

We thought it must be a problem with the account rather than with the website (since there must be hundreds of shops that buy these subscriptions from Ford). So far we are unable to confirm with the Ford tech people. This is another issue, There's multiple entities, Ford, MotorCraft, FordTechService. Customer bought the service from one entity who is not the same as whoever provides the service. And whoever is responsible for web-site tech service is different again.

Your Motorcraft MOT is just 30 when booked with a service.

When your Ford reaches three years old, it must undergo an annual MOT (Ministry of Transport) test to ensure that it meets legally set road safety and environmental standards. Bring your Ford to your local TC Harrison dealership to keep your vehicle road-safe.

T. C. Harrison Group Limited, Milford House, Mill Street, Bakewell, Derbyshire, DE45 1HH acts as a credit broker in relation to financial products and not a lender. For customers requiring finance, we can introduce you to a small number of carefully selected credit providers who may be able to offer you different finance products to suit your needs, subject to assessment of your personal circumstances. You are not obliged to use these finance products which may have different interest rates and charges. The lenders we work with pay commission at different rates and the amount of commission we receive from a lender does not affect the amount that you pay to that lender under your credit agreement. You may request a commission disclosure at any time from our initial discussions through to the point when a finance agreement commences. We are only able to offer finance products from the providers we work with. We do not charge a fee for our services but a lender we introduce will typically provide us with a commission for the work that we do, which will be a fixed payment on new vehicles irrespective of the finance product you choose, or the balance that you finance; and on used vehicles a percentage of the amount you borrow. T. C. Harrison Group Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. FCA Reg. No. 312522

USED CAR STOCK DISCLOSURE
Some of our vehicles have been sourced from manufacturer schemes or selected Fleets. As a result, whilst we can confirm the number of registered keepers, we cannot confirm how many drivers a vehicle has had. We can confirm that the vehicle has passed a comprehensive 75 point check carried out by a manufacturer approved technician and has a full HPI Provenance check.

The best place to get the correct tyres for your car is your Ford Dealer. Our specialists advise and guide you in considering the right choice of tyre, offer brand names at attractive prices and check all components during the course of tyre fitting.

What do you get with Ford Motorcraft tyre services? How about:

Ford Roadside Assistance

Ford Roadside Assistance is included with a Ford Motorcraft Service. Ford Roadside Assistance applies to all vehicles regardless of age or mileage, excludes fleet vehicles and is valid from the date of service until the next Service is due. Ford Roadside Assistance applies to the serviced vehicle only.

Ford Accident Management

Ford Accident Management is provided on behalf of Ford Motor Company Limited by WRC Ltd. Company Registration No - 07768048 Registered in England and Wales. Registered Office: The Deep Business Centre, Tower Street, Hull, HU1 4BG..

That is the correct procedure. I would like to add that IDS/FJDS may require some browser settings to be adjusted. There should be a help link on Motorcraft service (top right of the page) and I think the IE windows opened from FJDS also has a link on the page for settings as well. Ford also runs all of their web based functions in IE, not edge or chrome. IE should be the default browser.I

We can introduce you to a limited number of finance providers. We do not charge fees for our Consumer Credit services. We may receive a payment(s) or other benefits from finance providers should you decide to enter into an agreement with them, typically either a fixed fee or a fixed percentage of the amount you borrow. The payment we receive may vary between finance providers and product types. The payment received does not impact the finance rate offered.

I have a 2015 1.5 ecoboost Focus, and I've not gotten round to servicing my car this past year so I'd thought I'd book it in with a main dealer. Upon a reply email from the dealership they've said it will require a 4 year service, at a price of 288.31. I've never serviced with a main dealer before, but I'd like to have good history when it comes to sell it so thought it would be a good idea. I assumed this would include new pads at this price point, so I requested the contact arranging my booking to send me a list of the work done on a 4 year service, here she is quoted:

So they are wanting almost 300 to change a few filters and the oil? And then give me recommendations of extra work they suggest me to pay them to do? When I asked for clarification the lady wasn't much help becoming quite short in the emails. Annoyingly I can do all this work myself, I just would like complete service history but at this rate I'd rather loose a little value in a few years. If anyone could let me know if this is usual or I'm missing something that would be great

Brake pads aren't included in any service. They're an additional service item which will be recommended when the friction material gets low, rather than a specific time or mileage. Brake fluid is also an additional item but recommended to be changed every 2 years so that's probably due now.

Cheers for the info, so it literally is just filters oil and brake fluid? If that's the case I'm just paying 200 Ish for the ford paperwork. And motorcraft parts realistically surely won't be noticeably worse?

You're paying for Fords software to update any modules that need it, 12 months breakdown cover, and all of the overheads that come with a large company & dealer workshop. It is of course cheaper to use an independent garage which will still give you a service book stamp. Or cheaper still to do it yourself - but mention that during a car sale and people run a mile in my experience lol.

you can get the service task sheets from Ford Etis which is free to register on (you say you are an independant opeartor) which shows the task for each service (don't think it mentions value service though)

My understanding of the "value service" (now Motorcraft) was that it was a way of keeping older cars within the dealer servicing network rather than letting owners defect to the local garage, not about any reduction in quality of parts used.

I don't think motorcraft branded service parts exist now except for a few items Inc pads. Omnicraft is the latest ford branding exercise for parts Inc non ford parts for other manufacturers vehicles. Less reliance on the motor factor.

As a consumer of older cars, I could care less about 'main dealer' service stamps! Save yourself the money and DIY, or just use a competent indie garage. As long as the main things like oil & filters are done, which you can provide receipts for, that would do me...
