? Since all this "Big Budget" mainstream movies cast only big time Singers and same 5-6 comedians ,don't you think Punjabi Industry is not inviting new talent ? and hence we are stuck watching every comedian in every other movie and same singers turned so called actors

I came to know that this film waited 3 years to be released, in that time a lot could have been done editing wise to improve the quality. However, well done Gifty for your first attempt on a full length film. I give him 4/10 on the movie overall and a 10/10 for your efforts of releasing a movie even if it was on the shelf for whatever reason, he must have done everything in his power to release it.

Mumbai, April 20 (IANS) Punjabi superstar Gippy Grewal is all set to headline a new yet-to-be-titled Punjabi film where he will be seen sharing the screen with his son Shinda Grewal.
Shinda was recently seen in the Diljeet Dosanjh-starrer, 'Honsla Rakh.'
The film, written by writer-actor Naresh Kathooria, will be directed by Amarpreet Chabbra, and will go on the floors between July and August 2022. It will release in February, 2023.
Naresh Kathooria is known for superhits like 'Carry On Jatta 1 & 2', 'Manje Bistre 2', 'Chandigarh Amritsar Chandigarh', 'Best Of Luck', 'Bhaji In Problem', 'Vekh Barataan Chaliyan', 'Mr & Mrs 420'.
Talking about the film, Gippy said, "Punjabi cinema is making huge strides and has a growing fanbase not just across India but abroad as well and Yoodlee Films genuinely wants to add to this movement by co-creating quality films with regional talent. I respect this approach and am glad that we will be working together."
Director Amarpreet Chabbra added, "It is a great feeling to collaboratively push the envelope in Punjabi cinema and to work with a team that really wants to add to the resurgence of fresh ideas in the industry."
The film will be bankrolled by Yoodlee Films, the cinematic arm of Saregama India that has been exploring the regional movie-scape with films in Tamil, Malayalam and Marathi and with this film they will be diversifying their territories.

Encouraging review.Gives me strength to go and watch a punjabi movie which I have not seen since ages.I love and appreciate your unbiased views about films.Your observation that punjabi films are full with cheap;and vulgar jokes is absolutely right. I remember one very decent and interesting social comedy of late sixties Sat Saliyan.A must watch film. Having punjabi stars of high repute.Ravinder Kapoor, Indira Billi, V.Gopal and Gopal Saigal. Can\'t our present generation punjabi film makers look at their seniors?

Yes as you said everyone has a right of opinion and I truly respect that.
But for a clarification I would like to say that If RSVP was bad............ then the other movies of Punjabi cinema cannot even be called Films in totality.
Secondly regarding Bhalla, that's where the problem lies as Punjabi audience just want him to do the routine things and don't let him act as an actor.......and this is exactly where all the Punjabi actors are trapped in being typecast in their repetitive roles doing nothing new but the same things again and again without any choice.
Thirdly, if Rajpal yadav and Rana Ranbir depict racial differences between two different communities then "Shampy Di Gaddi" and many other similar references being made in Punjabi entertainment products since the 90s depicts racial differences within the Sikh community only quite shamefully.
But to end on a positive note, as I see it RSVP was not great but a much better attempt as compared to several other ridiculous films without any basic content. However the truth remains that till the day Punjabi Audience will not make a film other than comedy a big hit, the trap will keep on going bigger, leading to further degradation in films and nothing else.

What is the point: There will always be celebrities , people in entertainment industry churning out music, movies, which will not be always up to the standard moral marks. But, you cannot make a single person responsible for this, or degrading culture. When any industry thrives here will be every kind of art churned out. It depends on the audience what kind of entertainment is right for them. It is about educating audience. You cannot get anything by back lashing celebrities or expecting them to be clean and always inspiring, and being role models. That is more like a ideal society.
Songs are as well mesmerising with dance numbers of Mr Singh, shoulder and meri buggi. And Sukhwinder once again is brilliant with Naina. He has a beautiful resounding voice which suits it. Direction, editing, dialogues , songs, acting everything was of high quality.
Though still punjabi movies have to work on serious genre, but comedy is a sure shot recipe. This movie is a properly made high budget commercial one, which is definitely going to be super hit, and will be a shining star of Punjabi cinema, for some years to come.
