Yeah! And we can talk about really scaling it too, just in case mor.ph would not support us.
If the focus will be on Disaster Tools, I think it makes sense to add
Google Maps API into the list of topics to discuss or talk about.
I would be interested to know how many markers is too many and
techniques to effectively use maps to visualize disaster data without
bogging down the user's browser.
I'm currently working on the UI for a search interface for data
gathered from Ushahidi by the CrisisCamp people about the Haiti
earthquake and I'm very much interested to learn more about using the
Google Maps API for this sort of thing. It currently runs on top of
LAMP but I'm sure it could easily be ported to run on GAE which is
probably the next thing I would be interested to know more about.
