Android App Development

Hi, I'm Vin. Can anyone help me with my project regarding Android App Development? I need a GUI that will display the data from my hardware device, the connection is through USB. My project is about Digital Voltmeter and the reading will be displayed on the Smartphone particularly Samsung Galaxy S2 with Jelly Bean 4.1.2 OS.

I believe you need to root your phone to be able to retrieve custom hardware info.

You can use an ADK compatible arduino board such as seeduino ADK to build your voltmeter and connect it to your android device via usb. I've created something similar here:

But it uses an RF receiver that receives pulses from a sensor attached to my chest and sends the data to my seeduino then to my Android phone that displays the visualization. I cannot help you with the development of the app but you can browse the app's source code here to help you get started: github.com/mharkus
