Uppercase extensions not detected

Hi. I've just found that if I try to open a file with an uppercase
extension (sample.JPG instead of sample.jpg) it shows the message "No
activity found to handle sample.JPG"
It also can't rename the uppercase extension to lowercase extension,
though it shows it as renamed. In example: I rename the file
sample.JPG to sample.jpg but it is still displayed as sample.JPG in
the file list, though when I try to rename it again it is showed as
sample.jpg. The workaround I used is simply to rename sample.JPG to
sample.jp and then to sample.jpg.
I also got a problem, when renaming the extension of one of this files
from uppercase to lowercase and viceversa it seemed to delete it. At
least it does not appear anywhere, even with other file managers.

Anyway, I love this app, specially because it has got no ads. :)

sorry for the slow response, pretty busy with my other app.
I've noted these issues and will address them next time I get
a chance to work on FM.
