I accidentally hid a folder and the app in question re-generated it.
My plan was to make the folder visible and overwrite the contents of
the newly generated one.
All i got was an error message and no options.

I tried simply deleting the new folder but the app was too fast for
me.
It would have the folder re-generated before i could unhide the one i
wanted to use.

And yes, I tried simply copying the contents of the folder into the
newly generated one but that led to more problems....

Its been resolved by another app but i just thought i should mention
it....
