Hello,

On my new Windows 11 24H2 FC/W only partly works: important keys , the mouse does not work.
Setting Windows Console Host as default terminal application in powershell window: settings/startup,  I can finely use FC/W,
only the mouse does not work.
Interesting that I can expand the window dragging the border.

Thanks in advance

Laszlo

Hello Laszlo,
Just to be sure - when you open Properties of the terminal window, is
the option at the bottom marked "Use legacy console" selected?

Hi,

Sorry, I didn't mean to sent the previous communication just to you - adding the list back now...

The last 3 line in properties window:

Use legacy console ...
The legacy console is not installed.   "Learn more" link1
Find out more about "new console features" link2

It's possible I had to install an optional component after installation of Win11 or something like that, I don't remember that any longer. In any case, it works flawlessly for me no (including the mouse).

Unfortunately "Use legacy console" is not selectable.

I couldn't understand what can I do: Windows Console Host already selected.
Maybe

Controlling the new features

The new functionality is enabled by default, but you can switch each of the new features on and off or revert to the previous console host either through the Properties interface (mostly on the Options tab) or with these Registry keys (all keys are DWORD values under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Console):

Registry key

Description

ForceV2

1 enables all new console features; 0 disables all new features. Note: this value is not stored in shortcuts, but only in this Registry key.

In registry it's 1, I  didn't change

I have no idea.

Are you using windows 11 ? You have no problem with that?
