Remember that day not too long ago where my day was so epically bad that I had to post about it? Yeah, the day with not one, but two potty-training accidents in an hour, spilled milk and flour, scorched dinner, and general chaos?

There was a good bit of silly putty left smooshed into the fabric, and I had no idea how to get it off. I actually waited a day or two before even trying to tackle the mess because I was a little worried that it would require a lot of effort.

I did try stuffing the pocket with ice cubes, and I managed to pick a few tiny pieces off after the ice froze the putty, but glancing around at my table, I spotted something else that I decided to try.

Thank you so so much! I got 2 containers of putty on my fav pair of sheets. I got so nervous but then I tried hand sanitizer and boom the putty was gone!! I then realized I got more on my favorite comforter and blanket. I got all the putty out in about 10 minutes! You are my hero thanks so much!

This remedy is brilliant. I tried four different ways to remove the Melting a Snowman from my daughters brand new pajamas before I found your solution . The putty had managed to get everywhere!!!! This hand sanitizer tip is gold! Thank you sooo much. I showed my daughter the results and her tears were dried. Thank you so much. #sograteful (Sydney, Australia)

This was the best solution i have ever used! Thank you!!!! My kid apparently snuck it into bed with him last night and it was all over his sheets, favourite blanket and comforter ? It really was amazing how quickly this worked ?

Amazing, this worked like a charm. I had to spend some time scraping out the putting from the cotton knit since it had melted in some, but it seems to be putty-free now. Waiting to see if I have to treat for grease too, but I was staggered at how effectively this dissolved the putty. thank you for sharing this!

The Balta Pocket T-shirt uses our standard tubular jersey and is fashioned with a classic five-point chest pocket and a set-in collar. The six-ounce jersey has a dry, crisp hand and that breaks in after many washes.

Our signature, standard six-ounce tubular jersey has a crisp hand that softens after many washes. The weight is ideal for layering or standalone wear. Produced on circular knitting machines for no side seams.

Commercial neck pocket templates usually don't work very well. They tend to leave you with a poor fitting joint between the neck and the body of the electric guitar. There are ways to try and fix the issue but none that I have been very happy with.

This is one of the more critical items. I have tried a fair amount of different epoxy putties and found my favorite is Kwikwood by JB Weld. I find it has a longer open time than most other epoxy putties, so it leaves more time to work it.

There are others that work well too though, and feel free to experiment. I would avoid those with metal shavings in them though, since hardness and strength isn't critical. Much more important is being able to fill the crack. The templates I've made have only been used once or twice. Compare the time it takes for the putty to set between products. The JB Weld Quikwood sets in 15-25 minutes and I wouldn't want any less than that.

I use a Scotch (by 3M) clear heavy duty packing tape about .003" thick and regular smooth office tape. Don't use thick tape, fiberglass reinforced or masking tape since a smooth surface is important. You'll need about a foot-long piece.

A jigsaw is necessary to rough-cut a pocket in the Hardboard. I would imagine a scroll saw or band saw would work just as well. Using a drill to relieve the two corners makes it a lot easier to cut the pocket in one pass.

Three clamps to hold various pieces in place. I would recommend one being a cam clamp as seen in the pictures below, or a Quick-Grip bar style clamp. The other two can be simple spring clamps or almost any other variety. I would avoid C-clamps or any kind that incorporate a screw as they tend to twist the work piece as pressure is applied.

Lay the neck to be fitted on the hardboard piece. Line it up roughly at the middle of the board and line it up so the template extends passed the point on the neck where the edge of the body is to end up. Clamp or hold the neck firmly to the hardboard while you trace the heel with a pencil or fine point sharpie.

By using a small amount along the edge of the putty knife, work the putty into the gap. I generally start by quickly placing a "worm" of putty into the three sides before I start packing it in hard. By adding physical material in the gap, the pressure from packing has a harder time pushing the neck and board out of alignment.

Excess putty has to be cleared off the putty knife regularly and worked back into the gap. Try and work quickly. Lastly, smooth it out by working the putty knife from the side of the neck and down-and-over the hardboard all around the neck. Once the entire gap is filled all the way to the edge you're done. Leave it alone, let it cure and clean up - especially removing putty from the putty knife.

After letting the putty cure over night, remove the clamps. Carefully work the neck out of the template by twisting it ever so lightly until it lets go. Typically the putty will release from the surface of the tape. Remember to pull the neck straight up as the heel is the widest part. Peel the tape off the neck heel.

Next, lay the template on a flat surface and sand the hardened putty flush with the top of the hardboard. Flip it over and do the same. At the bottom edge of the neck pocket template, there may be a ridge formed by the bottom radius of the neck heel. Use the scraper or knife to lightly scrape it back flush or slightly beveled back. Try not to disturb the surface where the epoxy was touching higher up on the heel, because this is where the bearing on your pattern bit will run. In fact, you may be able to trim this material by using the 3/8" diameter router bit.

Along these two lines, make two sets of tick-marks a set distance from an arbitrary fret and repeat on the opposite side. The further apart the two sets the better. Connect the two tick-marks in each set. Mark the center of these lines and draw a line between the two centers.

Background: Periodontal regeneration remains one of the crucial issues in the field of periodontology. Periodontal intrabony defects could be treated by surgical intervention through various alloplastic bone graft substitutes. The Food and Drug Administration approved, Novabone putty is one of the recently marketed bone graft substitutes, which has been used in the present study. This study also incorporates the placement of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) in combination with Novabone putty.

Materials and methods: Twenty patients were included in the study and were allocated to either Group A or Group B through randomization. Group A included the placement of Novabone putty in the periodontal intrabony defects, whereas Group B included the placement of Novabone putty along with PRF. Statistical analysis of plaque index, gingival index, probing pocket depth, relative attachment level, and intraoral periapical radiographs was performed.

Conclusion: Evaluation of efficacy of Novabone putty along with PRF produced more favorable results in relative attachment level gain and more reduction in probing pocket depth when compared to Novabone putty alone.

In this Instructable I'll show you 6 Ways to Plug or Fill Pocket Holes with a variety of methods. I'll break down the 6 ways into 3 fillers and 3 plugs made from wood. Each of these has their pro's and con's and I'll cover each of them in detail along with application methods and results after sanding to 150 grit.

The holes are deep so I ended up having to wait overnight for the wood filler to dry. I thought it would crack or shrink, but the filler did a great job. After sanding it was very smooth and ready for paint.

The third filler is Bondo. I also got this tip from the Instagram community. The bondo has a putty and a hardener you mix together. I followed the directions on the can and stirred it up until it was an even salmon color.

The bondo dried much faster than first two fillers and was ready to sand in about 2 hours. It also sanded way faster than I thought it would. It only took 10 or 15 seconds more than the wood filler to sand. And the finish was glassy smooth, even better than the wood filler.

The next 3 methods are using wooden plugs. I put a picture of the different types of plugs and I'll go over each one in detail. If you wonder why my fingers hate #5 then go watch my YouTube video for this tutorial.

The problem is with the installation. I had a really hard time getting these installed. I tried using a rasp and also the Kreg Mini Jig which has a little spot for pushing the plugs in. Neither of those worked great and I ended up not getting the plugs set totally flush. I let the glue set for about 5 minutes, since it was a tight fit the plugs were pretty secure, and then cut them flush with my flush cut saw.

You can cut these flush almost immediately, but I do wait about 5 minutes just to be sure. Then cut them with the flush cut saw. After sanding the surface left behind is very good and only needs slight filling or additional sanding if any.
