Hi,
Here is some information that will hopefully be helpful:
Figwee can operate in three modes: a weekly weight loss goal, a daily
calorie goal, or a daily net carb goal. Check that the radio button
next to "Weekly weight loss of:" is selected on the Settings page.
Next, check to see that the lbs / week is reasonable. For most people,
a goal of 1 to 2 pounds a week seems to be what is recommended by
expert consensus. Trying to lose weight faster could result in
dangerously low calorie intake. Unless a doctor tells you otherwise,
you should consume 1200 calories a day at a minimum.
Save these changes on the Settings page then go to the food diary and
see how many calories Figwee says you can consume (shown in the
Nutrition Facts area as "calories left today"). Note that this value
reflects what you can eat if you never get out of bed. To get a
better sense of the number of calories you can consume, enter your
expected or typical activity in the Activity Log. For every activity
(e.g. chores, work, driving, exercise...) you enter, you earn more
calories. After entering your expected activity, come back to the food
diary and now see how many calories you can consume. If this number is
less than 1200, then you need to set your weekly weight loss goal
lower until you are eating at least 1200 calories.
The factors that determine the calories you can consume are: your
weight loss goal (lbs / week), your current weight (the more you weigh
the more you can eat and still lose weight), and your level of
activity (how much you move). If you already don't weight very much
and you are not very active, then you will have to have a modest
weekly weight loss goal, perhaps less than 1 pound a week. If you are
very heavy, but have an active job and run an hour a day, you can
consume a lot of calories and still achieve a healthy weight loss
pace.
If you would like more specific help, please call Figwee at

Best,
-Jeff
