Hi All,

I have multiple MCC trees which have a location attribute that I would like to color the same across the different trees. Not all the trees contain all the locas about the tions. Is there a way I can manually edit the coloring scheme so that I can have unifying colors across my trees? I have seen a few questions about the 'Import Colour Scheme' option in FigTree but with no answer. Any help would be appreciated!

(I know I can export the trees and do it by hand in Illustrator, though when I've tried this I run into problems with the line thickness. It would be much more desirable to do it in FigTree.)

Thank you,

Mary

I found a hack that seems to do the trick which I will post here in case someone else wishes to do the same. First, I open my trees in FigTree, color branches by their location, etc, and save the files. Then I open the trees in a text editor and manually change the order and add 'dummy' locations (those that weren't present in a given tree) at the following: 'set colour.order.geography='.
