How to genertate pdf tree file with figtree's command lines?

Dear everyone,
I have downloaded the newest version figtree 1.4.2 and unpack the FigTree_v1.4.2.tgz on my ubuntu server which support x11 view. I can open figtree by the figtree.jar,then I can import file and export image.
But now I want to use the command lines, and generate image files directly, the command like this: figtree -graphic PDF test.tree test.pdf . It's appeared run successfully, without any warning or error, but the output file test.pdf is empty.
Can you give me some advice. Really appreciate your help!
