Hello,

I am looking for a solution to colourize the tip names in the tree via the NEXUS file.
I tried writing the colour code before the tip label (eg -> [&!color=#-65536]H.sapiens:0.456) but this coloured the branch reaching to H.sapiens.
I want the tip name 'H.sapiens' to be coloured instead.

Kindly help me with it. Hope for a quick reply.

Thanks and Regards,
Arpit

Hi,

Add the colour attribute to the taxa at the top of the nexus file:

begin taxa;
dimensions ntax=262;
taxlabels
‘my_taxon_label’ [!color=#22e6df]
.
.
