I bought one of these from this seller at a radio rally,
It was a proper, sealed, RS Components kit.

Now I see he has them on ebay:-
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm//391447261296
"Fignition Tiny FORTH 8bit micro Jupiter Ace AVR ATMEGA"
£30.00 Postage £4.00

The auction says more than 10 available. From talking
to him, I think he has 13 left.

Ask him nicely and you might be able to collect free
from somewhere near East Barnet in North London; or
he may be at the DDRC Stockwood Park rally, 22 May.

Back in the day,  the mk101 was sold in that part of world.  Is Barnet a hotbed of DIY computing?  ', -D

I've transplanted the AVR microprocessor and ROM
into my REV E board and it works fine: the new
firmware has corrected the frame-tearing on my
Sony Bravia TV.

Now I know the AtMega328 works, I'll probably
upgrade the old AtMega168 to recent firmware.

Then I need to work out how to reprogram two
non-Fignition AtMega328s.

Not sure what I'll do with the RS kit pcb:
I'll probably build it low-profile with a
short crystal and fixed cables or a dil header
instead of the bulky parts.

Later, I have an idea for a "freeform" module
(like BEAM robots) which would fit in a
cough-sweet tube. Surface-mount parts could make
it even smaller but more-or-less requires a pcb
- or watchmaker's skills.

My main problem is the scarcity of one
essential component, the 'round-tuit' ;-)

I see these are now all sold, so there might be about
a dozen new FIGnition users since May.

I wonder if any of them have found their way onto this group
and would like to announce themselves and let us know
* their progress with the kit and
* what purpose they have or intend to put it to?

Interesting! It was good to hear about that chap buy the rs kits & selling them on ebay!

I've recently had a number of figkeys orders & 3 fignition orders.  although i have much less time available these days, i'll be doing the "kitting" today and sending all the kits out late next week.
